Thinking for Transformation
Einstein stated, “We can’t solve our problems at the same level of thinking with which we created them.” The apostle Paul stated, “Be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
I’m sure you have heard these quotes before. What exactly do they mean?
If you attempt to solve a problem BELIEVING that your current conditions hold the answer, then you will never solve the problem. It’s not really even ‘thinking outside the box’ that is necessary. To solve a problem, you need to transform your thinking. As a result, you will get more creative ideas.
Here is a simple outline for transformative thinking:
1. Get really clear on the outcome you would LOVE to see.
Many times, we base the outcome we would like based on what we think is possible. In this step I want you to really dig deep and write down the result you would absolutely be in joy with.
2. Visualize this outcome as already complete and notice how you FEEL. Stay in this vibration while you sit in silence and listen to ideas that come from your intuition.
Take a moment to really get into the feeling. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP. After a few minutes, 5 at most, start free writing all the ideas that come to you regarding the problem you want to solve.
Don’t filter. but, no matter how silly the idea seems, write it down.
3. Pick one idea that you know you can do in the next seven days. Then, schedule it! Because you have put it on your calendar, your mind knows you are serious.
4. Rinse and repeat.
By the time you have gone through this cycle 2-3 times, you will have a transformed way of looking at things.
